Black Domina

Black Domina

One of the world’s most respected breeders and seller of cannabis seeds have created a unique strain that is meant to be grown indoor by crossing four of its own prestigious and potent cannabis Afghanica Strains.

As a result, they have bred Black Domina, an Indica strain that is sure to overpower your senses and dominate your body like no other cannabis strain has ever done before.

We are not kidding you. This is a powerful strain that is going to bring it on and assault your body and senses when you smoke this cannabis. As such, Black Domina makes for a great strain to use once there is nothing else to do, or in the evening a couple of hours before you intend to sleep.

Sensi Seeds created this strain by crossing four Indica strains, Northern Lights, Ortega, Hash Plant, and Afghani SA. They called this hybrid Black Domina and designed it to be especially suitable for hydroponics in an indoor setting.

Used in a very small quantity, Black Domina can certainly uplift your spirit and send your mind to a mental high. It might even induce you to have increased creative thoughts. But this is one powerful Indica that is going to creep to your body hard. As the physical high kicks in, the sedative properties help release the tensions from your body sending you to a complete state of relaxation.

You don’t want to use this strain if there are things you need to do. But use it at the end of the day, and it will help you sleep better.

Black Domina is one cannabis strain that you are likely to spend time watching especially during the flowering stage. At the same time, you are likely to appreciate its blend of earthy and nutty smell with a note of citrus.

Before you realize what hits you, the first thing you know about the Black Domina, besides its fragrance is that it has a woody and spicy flavor in a peppery way mixed with a note of citrus.

Adverse Reaction

As to be expected, you are going to feel your mouth going dry, and in some cases, you may even feel your eyes drying too. These are nothing to be concerned about as they are normal reactions from using cannabis.

Black Domina Adverse Reaction

For many novice users, this may not be the best strain to start using, but what the heck, if you have it in front of you, then you might take a few puffs to try it out. Of course, it might also cause some people to feel a little dizzy in the beginning.

One thing that you should be aware of is that even if the Black Domina could be used as a medical cannabis, there are rare instances that rather than alleviating, it might slightly elevate the levels of stress and anxiety. For that reason, it is a good practice to always stay on the conservative side when using any cannabis strains.

Aptly named, Black Domina has proven to be a potent strain that brings the pure power of Indica to your body. Medical cannabis smokers sought out this strain for its ability to help them reduce their stress levels, which in turn, makes it easier to deal with mental health issues including anxiety disorders like depression and PTSD.

The strong sedative effect it has on the body may leave you feeling lazy, but at the same time, it could also relieve or reduce the symptoms of chronic pains and aches. Some smokers have reported that it also has a positive benefit to a few gastrointestinal problems such as nausea.

Before the effects of Black Domina completely fades away, you would be too tired to do anything else but go to sleep, and this is especially beneficial to those who are suffering from Insomnia.

Although it is possible to grow Black Domina outdoor in a sunny and Mediterranean climate, it is not advisable. Rather, expert growers suggest that this cannabis strain is better suited for indoor growing using hydroponics. It is especially adaptable and responds well to the Sea of Green (SOG) method.

For first time growers, Black Domina is a good strain to start with as it is easy enough to grow. This hybrid features a large cola with heavy resin-covered dark colored buds. Its size is perfect for most indoor growing tents as it grows up to only 4-1/2 feet tall.

Flowering Time

Hydroponics and a good indoor garden environment with a good plant grow light should shorten the flowering period to 50 days. A smile should form on your face as you harvest this plant and have a yield of 14 to 16 ounces per square meter.

As mentioned, Black Domina is not recommended for outdoor growing. It might survive and grow but it would be a challenge to do so. The typical harvest time of this plant is during October with an estimated yield of no more than 14 ounces per plant.

I have a Black Domina Plant in my garden. This plant is one of my most vigorous plants, its already 4 feet tall and 4 feet wide.. and it's only July.. She is going to produce way more than what is said here.. Probably more like 2-3 pounds.. But I guess I started early. 🙂

I originally purchased this BD seed for indoors, but instead decided to try it outdoors.

Here in Zone 8, plants can go 9 weeks, 65-67 days MAYBE, on average, so having a plant that finishes at the end of September is perfect.

11 of 12 regular seeds sprouted, 1 runt, 10 ended up growing out. Identifying this strains sex is interesting; several are TALL - 5 feet (3)- currently in 3-gallon smart pots. I am actually amazed at the size as from what i’d read, this was not supposed to happen (unless male.) So this strain varies from shorter, silky females with medium-sized stalks (which may be the reason they recommend this be grown indoors? as they will need to be staked once transplanted from the final time, with the main stem tied to a bamboo stake for wind protection.) Also, *what I believed to be* 3 males (due to their stretching & thick stalks) as now appear to be (showing) female. ?? I won't know for certain until August, but from what I'm seeing these all have female characteristics. I mean, I guess it would make sense as all seeds were raised the exact same, non-stressed, indoor clone box to 1-gallon smart pots outdoor @ ^ 3-gallon sp transplant; this plant is small and burley enough where honestly a 20-gallon pot will be plenty, more like a 15-gallon would be perfect. But I have to note here: if these 5' tall super-thick stalked main plants turns out to be female, then holy moly- what a plant specimen. It WILL work outdoors for hardiness, but I will also add some silicone as part of my outdoor feeding schedule (modified indoor.) I seriously have dinner plate-sized fan leaves. I have pictures. Unbelievably beautiful to watch grow. Holy Moly. The other smaller females (5) , still at 4' now, they are going into from a 5-gallon to 10-gallon smart pots as part of the strain tests I’m running. I have a few friends and we are all growing 2 and pooling our research. They get the shorter females, I’m running the 5’ GIRLS… haha yeah that’s the gamble for me, I sure hope they indeed go female. If I saw straight male characteristics beyond growth pattern, I would have no problem culling them, but dang as a word of caution, if you have the time and start your seed early enough, make sure you can grow them out & take a clone for sexing. I actually did do this, but the amount of time afforded was 1 clone batch only; 9 of 10 rooted, but only 5 grew out, and honestly it sucked- normally I’d have had these running a month earlier, and the plants a few weeks older before taking decent clones . I was working with 10-12” clones- not cool. THUS… my story about having to sex outdoors. I was out there every day for a few weeks with my magnifying glass! Anyway that’s it for now, but my long time gardeners instinct tells me this should be a good run. One thimg, though, be sure to add an Einstein-oil w/surficant treatment using a sprayer. The bugs seemed to like the lower leaves, so I sprayed them late June and will again mid-July for a nice leaf-shine nitrogen boost. I will take pictures weekly starting mid July. For being in a 3-gallon loose soil smart pot, these things are going nuts! (well hopefully not nuts, er pistols!)

p.s.neem oil treatment worked- bugs were gone after 1st spray.
