Information about Ledgle Full Spectrum 300W LED Grow Light:

In the past, growing your cannabis plant indoor is much costlier than it is today. But as technology continued to evolve and companies keep innovating, the cost of having your own indoor garden set up has gone down.

For instance, one of the most important thing you need for your plant to grow is to provide it with a light source, one that mimics the sun. In the past, you would have to shell out a lot of money to buy a high-pressure sodium (HPS) grow lamp. When you add up all the expenses, it makes you wonder if it is even worth it growing your own cannabis.

Sure, the prices of HPS grow lamps today is a cheaper than it ever was, but they are still prohibitive. Also, they tend to use a lot of electricity too, which means your monthly electrical bill is painful to look at.

Nowadays, what was once an alternative is now becoming the default go to for those who seek to purchase a grow lamp. LED has taken over this industry for a good reason. They are cheaper and far more efficient in the use of electricity.

On this post, we are taking a look at Ledgle 300W grow light with full spectrum LEDs.

Being one of the cheapest LED grow light at its product range, is this the right grow light for you? Will it perform as intended and will your cannabis thrive under it?

Rather than using 3-watt LEDs, which is common in most LED grow lights, Ledgle uses 6 watts. With 11 bands of color spectrum, this grow light should be able to cover the needs of your plants throughout its growth.

Unlike some other grow lights, Ledgle designed a switch to allow you to choose between vegetative or bloom mode. Having a switch is important in that it prolongs the lifespan of your diodes as only the necessary spectrums are lighted.

The panel can cover an area of 3 feet x 2 feet for vegetative growth stage, and 2 feet x 1.5 feet during bloom or flowering stage.

There is some confusion on the wattage of this grow light. Is it 300 watts or only the equivalent?

Some of the customer reviews we have seen allege that Ledgle’s 300W LED Grow Light is not true 300 watts.

Our position on this is that quality comes at a price, and so is the specifications. In other words, the specifications of a top-quality LED grow light cannot be expected in products with the same price point as this model.

For that reason, you have to be sure first if this grow light would work and satisfy your needs.

A couple of things that is noteworthy too are the noise level and the temperature.

The company does not have information on the decibels, but from all indications, this unit is quiet, which is a plus.

Equally important is the heat dissipation. It comes with two built-in fans, which seems to do an excellent job of keeping temperature down. This is important for two reasons. One is because you want to control the climate inside a grow tent. There are grow lights that emits a high temperature, high enough to raise the temperature inside the tent by several degrees.

Another benefit of good heat dissipation is that it actually helps prolong the life of the diodes and other electronic components.

Customer Care and Support

Ledgle is a reseller of Global Star, and both companies are based in China. As such, contacting them for support is only through email.

Unfortunately, customer support may not be the company’s greatest strength. So, purchasing this unit comes with a risk of not receiving the same great customer care as some others.

Quality

Quality

Make no mistake about it. This product is CHEAP. For the price, it cannot be compared to other top-of-the-line products as it would be like comparing apples to oranges. But when it comes to value-for-money, this has to be right up there with the best of them.

On one hand, there are other good products, better even, but the prices may simply be too expensive. On the other hand, if it works for you, then the cheap price point makes Ledgle 300W Grow Light have great value.

Our position also when it comes to quality of LEDs is that we do not take the claimed lifespan into consideration. Instead, we base the lifespan on the warranty. Ledgle is offering only one year.

For certain, this is not comparable to PlatinumLED, for example, which is offering 5 years plus the company takes care of all shipping costs. But then again, this unit has a much lower cost.

Pass or Buy Ledgle Full Spectrum 300W LED Grow Light?

When you buy a LED light for use in your home, notice how the label includes its equivalency? For instance, a 9-watt LED light bulb may have the equivalency of 60 watts.

In the case of Ledgle 300W LED Grow Light, it appears that the 300 watts is the equivalency. Having said that, and by taking that into consideration, is the price still justified or are there other better grow lights at their price range?

The truth is that it is hard to beat the price they are offering without the same compromise on the wattage, or as some customers may feel, misrepresented.

Still, this grow light has satisfied a lot of customers too. As a matter of fact, it has one of the best overall net customer satisfaction rating. After checking all the top-rated grow lamps on Amazon, Ledgle 300W Grow Light sneaked into the top among happy customers.

For professional and seasoned growers who could afford to spend more, sure, there are other products out there that are better. Be aware that those products easily cost at least three to four times more.

For the casual growers, this LED grow light may work for you. Although service is questionable, the cheap price takes away that risk, and makes it one grow light that you could try out. Buy your Ledgle Full Spectrum Grow Light here!
