It’s always difficult to define the perfect moment to harvest the marijuana. It also depends on your taste. It is the same with wine: early harvested grapes contain less sugar than later harvested grapes and will produce less alcohol than later harvested grapes.
If you harvest your marijuana a little early, the effects and the taste will be milder than if the plants are harvested more mature. If you harvest your marijuana too late, the effect is benumbing and the taste will be strong. But it all depends on the growers preferences. Some growers prefer to harvest their marijuana when only 15% of the pistils have turned red.
Others prefer to harvest when 60 to 70% of the pistils turned red. The later you harvest, the higher the weight will be, but the quality will be less.
