Hermaphrodite cannabis plants
In rare cases, a plant can be hermaphrodite. This means that it has both male and female reproductive organs. Hermaphrodites can actually fertilize themselves.
The hermaphrodite marijuana plant can vary between three different levels:
- a majority of female marijuana flowers, hard to distinguish (to conserved);
- an equal amount of male and female blooms (should be thrown away);
- a majority of male marijuana flowers (should be thrown away).
Some growers keep the slightly female hermaphroditiccannabis plants to collect the pollen from them. This pollen is of course the male part of the reproduction, but are nevertheless genetically female and reduce flowers which are more or less a hundred percent female.
