Buddha has always advocated peace and happiness. And that fact of the matter is that we all want that. So, one thing we are sure of with Buddha Haze is that it will do that and more. Because it is a Sativa-dominant strain, it promises to deliver mental highs that uplift the mood and induce euphoric feelings.

Buddha Haze has an interesting background story. Apparently, the breeders of Big Buddha got ahold of an Amnesia Haze phenotype. Its lineage is supposed to be from a clipping of a phenotype of Bubblegum. At any rate, using the Amnesia Haze phenotype, they crossed it with a landrace strain originating from Brazil – the Manga Rosa.

Both Amnesia Haze and Manga Rosa are Sativa-dominant strains, as such, Buddha Haze inherited their incredible mental effects.

Buddha Haze comes with an otherworldly potency. As such, we do not recommend it to beginners. Even for those who have been using cannabis for quite a while, if they have a low tolerance, then it is best to find another hybrid.

At its onset, users usually will feel a tingling sensation in their temple followed by a pressure around the eyes. Not a moment later, the rush of mental head high surges in causes a mood swing. As users start to feel not only happy but more likely, also euphoric, they also tend to be more sociable.

In a social gathering, expect bouts of giggling and lots of laughter. As this happens, the mind remains clear, but only for a while, that is. Buddha Haze, at this point, is still not done.

While the onset causes people to have a clear mind with a boost of energy and creative thinking, it soon becomes a little hazy. And then they start to have deeper thoughts. Here, most will now be quiet and find themselves lost in their introspection. In some ways, we can say that the strain is aptly named. That is because users end up in a meditative-like state.

Buddha Haze emits a skunky tone with pungent and sweet notes of mango. A good way to imagine how it actually smells is to think of oneself on a deserted tropical island. Soak in the air and the sweet aroma of the tropics while lazing on the beach.

As its tropical fragrance carries over, a mixture of fuel and tea is detectable in its taste. There is also a sweet and spicy aftertaste lingering that adds to its delightfulness.

Adverse Reaction

For sure, the strain is going to make many people feel their throat and eyes drying. It becomes even more pronounced if using more of Buddha Haze strain. Such reactions are a fact of life with the use of any marijuana.

Other adverse reactions that may become evident if over using are headaches. In some cases, some people may also feel a little paranoid.

The incredible and intense cerebral head high induced by Big Buddha is more than enough to wipe out any stress. Even people with depression will find relief with its use. Due to its intensity, even those with mild pains and aches should find comfort.

One does not have to use cannabis to feel great, relaxed, or even calm. In fact, the act of growing in itself already provides that. Once these plants start to grow and enter the flowering stage, the excitement continues to build up. It finally culminates in an uplifting euphoria once the buds are ready for picking.

Buddha Haze is not a difficult plant to cultivate. But it requires growers to already have some past experiences to grow it successfully. It grows equally well in an outdoor setting or inside the house. It is also suitable for cultivation inside a greenhouse.

Outdoors, it can reach as tall as 6-1/2 feet. Considering that it is a Sativa-dominant strain, it is not regarded as very tall as many others of its kind can grow past 10 feet. At any rate, it will thrive in a climate that is similar to the Mediterranean. Due to its long flowering time, depending on the region, growers will want to take into consideration the timing. While the plant can tolerate cool temperatures, it will suffer once the cold season sets in.

A better option is to grow Buddha Haze indoor. It thrives well in pots and soil as a medium or hydroponics. Of course, we prefer hydroponics as it allows us tends to optimize the growth. Also, growers will want to top off early to keep it short and let it grow more outward rather than upward.

Flowering Time

Buddha Haze can start its flowering stage by the eleventh week. We do recommend letting it reach thirteen weeks. During harvest, each square meter of the plant can produce 10 to 14 ounces of buds.

In an outdoor setting, it starts to flower during the mid-month of November in the northern hemisphere. Once it is ready for harvest, each plant can produce around 14 ounces or possibly more.
