Ceramic MH 315w Low Profile Stealth Package:
One of the quintessential piece of equipment in a grow setup are arguably grow lights. Simply due to the fact that cannabis crops thrive on sun emitted light and indoor cultivators in always in search for the next best thing.
Ceramic metal halides are steadily becoming a crowd favorite amongst various types of lights available in the market today. These ceramic arc tube lights are also called Light Emitting Ceramic (LEC), or Ceramic Discharge Metal Halide (CDM).
Advantages of Ceramic MH
Similar to the sun, ceramic metal halide lamps create a plasma-like light source that provides the broadest spectrum due to its higher temperature. As such, plants get a wider wavelength range of useable light from the Ceramic MH, as its spectrum is closer to that of the natural sunlight.
Compared to other grow lights, Ceramic MH renders the highest measure of color rendering index (CRI). Other artificial lights do not come close to reproducing the same light as the sun. Its CRI rating ranges between a high of 96 and a low of 80, with a CRI of 100 as the basis of natural, unobstructed light appearing to the human eye.
Ceramic MH lights deliver ultraviolet light remarkably more than most variety of grow lights. Strong UV assists plants during the vegetative stages and helps to develop stronger branches. Similarly, these bulbs offer consistent light duration and quality all throughout its useful life. Unlike traditional lights that loose effectivity over time, it retains its wide spectrum.
With a higher yield per watt, Ceramic MH bulbs are up to 20 percent more efficient. It lasts longer than incandescent and halogen lights as well. Furthermore, it is confirmed to run as long as 24,000 hours – that is almost three years.
Although its temperatures run higher than most, Ceramic MH emits less heat. Thus, it can be positioned closer to the plants without the risk of burning the leaves. This is crucial in smaller grow spaces, where inefficient growth is attributed to extreme heats from other types of grow lights.
In terms of being discreet, Ceramic MH bulbs are the better choice than others. The ceramic in these bulbs do not interfere with television, cell phone signals or any other electronics in ways others could. It works great in avoiding detection and keeping a low profile.
Ceramic MH bulbs are plug and play. It also does not require a separate ballast unlike other grow lights. Moreover, it is available in a wide range of sizes to fit into existing magnetic high-pressure sodium ballasts halogen fixtures.
Ceramic MH 315w Low Profile Stealth
The Ceramic MH 315w Low Profile Stealth Package retails for $254.82 at Growers House. It includes:
- Sun System LEC Brand 315 Neutron CMH Reflector
- Prism Lighting Science 315w Ceramic Metal Halide CMH Ballast 120/240v
- Philips MasterColor CDM-TP Elite 315W CMH Agro Lamp T12 3100ºK or CDM-TMW Elite 315W/942 CMH Lamp 4200ºK
Sun System LEC Brand 315 Neutron CMH Reflector
Utilizing the cutting-edge Light Emitting Ceramic technology, the Sun System LEC brand 315 Neutron Reflector is a remote style reflector for better versatility in the growing area.
It has a highly reflective textured aluminum insert for excellent output, uniformity, and diffusion. The horizontal lamp configuration, meanwhile, allows for a lighter more compact fixture.
The reflector is designed specifically for the highly efficient agriculturally engineered CDM-T Elite 315 Agro Lamp (sold separately). It is also compatible with the Sun System Galaxy LEC brand remote ballast.
It has powder-coated galvanized steel housing and includes an attached 15 feet lamp cord. The integrated PGZX socket, though, will not accept non-open rated lamps. This is a non-air-cooled hood that does not accept glass. Also, the Eye Hortilux CMH315 lamp will not fit into the LEC Neutron reflector since the lamp jacket is too long.
Prism Lighting Science 315w Ceramic Metal Halide CMH Ballast 120/240v
Designed to run 315W CMH lamps safely and effectively, the Prism Lighting Science Ceramic Metal Halide Ballasts is packed with multiple ballast protections such as ignition failure, end of life (EOL) protection, short circuit protection, open circuit protection, ignition failure protection, and thermal protection. This guarantees safe usage for indoor.
Additionally, UL listing environment maximizing the PAR output of the Ceramic Metal Halide lamps.
The Prism Lighting Science CMH Ballast was made to have all the features and technology needed for optimal performance with none of the expensive frills in order to keep it priced as competitively as possible.
