Do you know how irritating people who sour grape is sometimes? In fact, these are toxic people we want to avoid, right? Perhaps there is a merit to the change in name, after all. While some strains have retained their ‘not so flattering’ names over the years, such as Cat Piss, others have changed.

One such strain is Grape Stomper. It used to be called Sour Grape, but that was a thing of the past. Stomper may actually have a more meaningful meaning because that is what it does, stomp on all things troubling you and kick them out of your system.

What’s left of you is someone who is floating in a sea of total happiness and elation. And oh, you don’t have to be alone. Grape Stomper is a great for social gatherings that is sure to keep the group alive and kicking in laughter and fun.

Formerly known as Sour Grape, Grape Stomper has stood the test of time. Over the years, breeders have worked on developing it into seed from clone-only. It traces its linage to Indica-dominant Purple Elephant and Sativa-dominant Chemdawg Sour Diesel. The result is a 70% Sativa-dominant hybrid strain that had, on more than one occasion, won the High Times Cannabis Cup.

Make no mistake about this sweet fruity tasting strain, Grape Stomper is a winner.

Grape Stomper acts quite fast in rushing in a head high that not only uplifts your mood but to turn sour moods into one of laughter and pure bliss.

Although its Indica side is only around 30%, its sedative property soon follows after the initial rush of head high and spreads over your body. For novice users and beginners, this may leave them on their couch, but for experienced users, they describe the physical sensation as a calming kind of relaxation that complements the head high fairly well.

Grape Stomper Effects

The mental and body high of Grape Stomper is powerful at the onset but it settles to a mellow buzz with an overwhelming sense of being sociable in a group setting. In some cases, there are also users who report that they also feel tingly, which is not a bad thing when everyone is having fun.

Grape Stomper has a seductive aroma of candy sweet berry with an earthy and sour undertone. From just smelling it, it is pretty much easy to understand why this strain is one of the best smelling cannabis strains. It has just the right strength, not the kind that is too overpowering or intense.

Of course, a cannabis strain that smells great must also taste great too, right? But that is not always the case. Fortunately, Grace Stomper lives up to its expectations with its sweet candy-like berry flavored taste that is light. Similar to how it smells, it has a light aftertaste that should be universally agreeable to smokers.

Adverse Reaction

It cannot be all pros and benefits. Of course, using cannabis, whether for recreational or medical reasons, comes with some things you want to watch out for.

First, the dry mouth. If you are new to smoking cannabis, understand that this is one adverse reaction that could be expected. In other words, feeling your mouth dry, and having dry eyes to varying degrees depending on the strain, is normal.

But there are also other unwanted symptoms that you have to be aware of. For instance, because of the sudden head high, or perhaps because of unfamiliarity and lower tolerance level, you might experience a mild headache. In some cases, some may even feel a little bit of panic at the buzzing high.

Other than that, always keep yourself hydrated and smoke within limits.

Used for medical purposes, cannabis users love the Grape Stomper in that it could stomp out and provide relief from chronic stress and depression. But aside from the mental part, it is also its ability to provide relief from chronic pains including muscle spasms that make this strain even more useful.

There are also a couple of benefits to using Grape Stomper as its effects begin to wane. One is that those who lack appetite may find themselves feeling hungry. Another is that you might feel tired and this results in wanting to go to sleep. For those who suffer from poor quality of sleep or insomnia, this strain may help.

Grape Stomper grows well in both outdoor and indoor, including a greenhouse. Under normal conditions, flowering time should begin in 72 days or around the middle part of October. You could expect to see some of the densest buds among all cannabis strains. We do not have enough information on what the actual yields are, so the figures given in the next section are estimates based on its description.

Flowering Time

Grown indoor, Grape Stomper thrives on hydroponics. Also, using a grow tent is recommended together with High Pressure Sodium (HPS) grow lights. Not much information could be gathered on its yield but some think it is around 12 ounces per square meter with a flowering period of 72 days.

Outdoors, Grape Stomper should be ready for harvest by October with an estimated yield of 16 ounces per plant, and possibly more.
