If you haven’t tried dabbing yet, you really should consider starting! Now when I say “dabbing”, I’m not referring to that dorky as hell dance that you’ve seen people doing on the Ellen show. I’m referring to that method of imbibing your delicious concentrates that seems to have taken over the stoner community. Though I will always have a special place in my heart (and indeed in my lungs) for flower, I love doing some dabs. Since July 10th, aka 710 is upon us, I thought I would take the opportunity to talk to you about why you should try dabbing.
Dabbing Gets You Way Higher
Dabbing gets you way higher than smoking flower does. This is because dabs, aka concentrates are more pure than dried flower. Concentrates are made by extracting THC and CBD from the flower and transforming it into its most potent state.
As such, you are getting only the best parts of the plant and none of the waste. This is going to get you something like 50 times higher than just smoking the plant would. For those of us who have been smoking forever and have exceedingly high tolerances, concentrates keep us from smoking all of our herb at once.

Dabbing Highs Lasts Longer
The high you get from dabbing lasts a hell of a lot longer than the high from smoking herb and I can definitely attest to this. The first time I tried dabs the resulting high lasted for almost two hours. I hadn’t had a THC high last that long since the first time I tried smoking weed. It was nice to be that high again, and it kind of reminded me why I started smoking weed in the first place. Of course, it won’t always be like that. As with anything else, you will build a tolerance. It goes without saying that it takes a lot longer to build up a tolerance to doing dabs than it does smoking weed.
You’ll Never Taste an Assy Bowl Again
Everyone hates the ass hit and for good reason: it tastes like ass. The neat thing about dabs are that you are not smoking them via combustion, rather you are vaping them. This means no nasty leftovers to get sucked into your mouth and into your bong. Once the dab is vaporized, that is it. You will never taste an assy bowl when you’re doing dabs.
It’s Healthier for You
Dabbing is healthier than smoking weed the old fashioned way. Again, this is because you’re vaping it, not smoking it via combustion. You’re not taking in the same carcinogens that you are when you’re just smoking a regular bowl. This is not to say that dabbing is super healthy for you, but it’s less harsh on the lungs than smoking from your favorite bong.
This doesn’t mean that I never smoke weed anymore. Quite the contrary; I love smoking herb. I have enough room in my heart to love both things. So, what are you waiting for? Go out there and start dabbing!
