Should I Tell People About My Growing Operation?

When you first start growing weed, you might be tempted to tell people about your growing operation. Resist this temptation. The whole world doesn’t need to know that you are a greenthumb now. I wouldn’t even tell people in my closest circle of friends that I was a farmer. Even living in a legal state it’s not a good idea.

You’re Gonna Get Jacked

Perhaps the biggest and what should be the most obvious reason for not spilling about your growing operation, is that you’re way more likely to get jacked. Think about it. Would you tell people if you were, say holding tens of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry? You are asking to have your plants stolen from you, and depending on where you live, it may be next to impossible for you to get them back.

Luckily, if you live in a state where it’s legal to grow (this is now most of them, thank god), you can call the cops and they can help you recover your stolen plants. I know that sounds funny, but they are required to by law because they are legally considered stolen property. Whether or not the cops are helpful in retrieving your stolen goods, is anyone’s guess.

If you are unfortunate to live in a state or province where it is still illegal to have a home growing operation, or weed is still completely prohibited, then you are shit out of luck. Obviously calling the police is out of the question, and unless you want to go all thug, you can probably say goodbye to your growing operation.

Do You Really Want Everyone Knowing?

The answer is no, you don’t. Again, think about it. Do you want your friends and family bugging you all the time about your growing operation, asking you for free weed all the time? I didn’t think so. That’s not only bound to get pretty annoying after a while, you just also never know who might be listening. There have been times where people have messaged me on Facebook Messenger asking for a hookup. I most certainly did not go around telling people, they just found out anyways because people are gossips.

While we’re on the subject, if you have a growing operation going, then you should absolutely under no circumstances deal any herb, especially not from your personal crop. I don’t need to tell you that this is still very much illegal. You will not only have your entire crop confiscated, you will most likely get your butt thrown in the pokey. Don’t deal weed if you’re running a growing operation.

    Seriously, Don’t Tell Anyone

You really are better off just not telling anyone, except for the people you know you can absolutely trust, like close friends, a spouse or significant other, and probably your roommates. Don’t tell your neighbors, unless you feel you absolutely have to. Remember, mum’s the word; you’d do well to keep it that way.
