As a forward minded thinking person who cares about your health (hopefully), you’ve probably been hearing a lot about cannabis topicals. You may have even tried them before. If you haven’t, then this is a train you need to get on. Cannabis topicals can be very beneficial if added to your daily routine, whether they are used as part of your beauty regimen, or after a workout. Your life will significantly improve if you introduce cannabis topicals into your daily routine.
What are Cannabis Topicals?
First, a quick crash course on cannabis topicals. When we refer to cannabis topicals, we mean lotions, oils, creams, and transdermal patches that have been infused with cannabis. There are tons of cannabis topicals available on the market today. You apply them to your skin and the CB1 and CB2 receptors in your system absorb the THC and/or CBD.
What are They Used For?
Cannabis topicals are more often used for medical purposes than for recreational, aka “getting high”. They are generally used for things like pain relief, skin disorders like psoriasis and eczema. They have also shown promise in treating acne. I like using them after exercising to soothe my sore muscles. Cannabis helps treat inflammation, a condition that often leads to more serious health conditions. Topicals can be used to treat burns and abrasions. Some have found success in using them to get rid of moles and warts. Lastly, women have seen a great deal of success in using cannabis topicals to enhance their libidos. Who wouldn’t want that?
Why Do People Use Cannabis Topicals?
Cannabis has a wide variety of medical uses, but a lot of people don’t want the psychoactive effects that come with smoking most strains. Some people just don’t want to smoke it, either because they are dealing with cancer, or they just don’t like smoking. Topicals are a lot easier to use in public than smoking a joint. If you are worried about people finding out you use cannabis, people are less likely to notice a lotion bottle with a tiny pot leaf, as opposed to something like a glass pipe.
Why Should I Use Cannabis Topicals?
Are you dealing with a skin issue like eczema or psoriasis? Perhaps you sustained a bad burn while cooking dinner? Maybe you deal with constant muscle aches due to an old sports injury? Perhaps you’re just stressed out from a long difficult day at work. Rubbing a little CBD on your temples can help relieve your woes.
Cannabis topicals can benefit you in a number of ways. They can also benefit someone you know. If you know of a family member or friend who would benefit from cannabis, but might be a little wary of trying cannabis, you could introduce them to topicals.
Cannabis topicals are seriously underrated in terms of methods for consumption. Even as a regular smoker, I have an appreciation for them. Smoking a bowl will not make my skin feel smooth as silk.
