-
By MacGyver Stoner ,13 Apr 2014Do you mean to fill the area with light? You should set up the room as two squares instead of one long rectangle, like two approximately 5 foot wide by 5 foot long square areas and center a 600w HPS […]Read More

By James ,10 Oct 2014Are you kidding? use tinfoil instead of mylar? It creates hot spots and is a poor poor reflective material. White paint would be better than tinfoil.
-
By kinetic ,12 Oct 2014yes I would also like clarity on the tinfoil as it has always been said one has to avoid using this. I find it strange that Robert would just recommend tinfoil with not a proper explanation.
-
By ClaireILGM ,14 Oct 2014Hi, Tinfoil can certainly be used. It does not create hot spots and is actually very reflective. The down side is its very conductive (so watch out with electricity) and it tears easily.. For a simple closet grow its perfect.

By Rick from Co. ,08 Jul 2016I have always attached emergency space blankets to my walls for reflective material. They are cheap and work great.

-
By latewood_ILGM ,23 Jan 2017Raul, We use 1000 watt HId lamps with 147,000 lumens. You are nowhere near having too much light. Your lamps would actually qualify as no more than minimal lighting. Go forward with confidence. Happy growing

By Clint ,21 Jan 2017Love the information, always useful. Just curious as to why you refer to HID lights simply as HPS, to some this may be misleading, as there are MH lights as well.
-
By latewood_ILGM ,23 Jan 2017Clint, The reason behind HID lamps being referred to as HPS is because that us what Robert uses and refers to as HID. Not very many growers use MH much anymore, despite the digital ballasts being switchable. Of course Metal […]Read More

By Pirate Botanicals ,14 Feb 2017This is a good guide, but one thing I don't see covered is blossoming enhancers for increasing plant yield. The guide drugs and bad ideas just posted has a whole section about it. I'm wondering why it's left out here.

By Zekiel ,17 May 2018I have hps and led lights with a 10sqft grow room. Was wondering would it be a waste of time and money to have both set up in in the same room.
-
By latewood_ILGM ,17 May 2018Zekiel, That would work fine. Plants seem to like a combination of light spectrums. Everyone has a different opinion but, this opinion is old school. Although there is right and wrong answers to your question; MOst of this comes to […]Read More
