Dutch Haze Strain

Some people use cannabis to relax, while others prefer to sleep. Still, there are also individuals who want a little fix to get them going. Think of supercars. Rather than using ordinary fuel, they use high-octane fuel to optimal performance. In a sense, that is what the Dutch Haze brings to the table.

If an energizing experience is what people want, then the Dutch Haze can deliver that and then more.

Over the decades, Haze strain has seen its popularity soar. It has its roots in Colombia, Mexico, Thailand, and India. Also, it has seen various iterations in the USA and Netherlands.

Dutch Passion, over the years, began accumulating the different variants and bred them. After years, in 2009, they finally released a phenotype named Dutch Haze. In every sense, it is the updated or improved version of the original Haze.

Get on the supercar and feel its roaring engine thunder. Sounds like the strain acts fast, doesn’t it? In fact, it does, and it comes with the mind-blowing potency of 27% THC content. So, users beware. Beginners should use a tiny amount to get a taste what the Dutch Haze can do and gradually build up in time. Otherwise, it can quickly overwhelm even the most seasoned users.

First, this is how the strain affects the mind and the body if used in moderate amounts. It kicks in and delivers a souped-up version of its classic Haze Sative effects. In essence, users feel uplifted, and as the mental buzz continues, it induces happiness.

At this point, the mind remains clear and the surge of energy helps people accomplish their tasks. In fact, they may also be more productive due to the heightened sense of focus with creative juices oozing out.

As the effects continue to intensify, the buzzing mental high starts to spread throughout the body. As a result, many users feel themselves getting more energetic. In fact, some also feel aroused. In that sense, it makes for a great starter for an evening of non-stop action in the bedroom.

But the Dutch Haze may or may not stop at that point. Of course, this is dependent on how tolerant users are. Some could take it, others get overwhelmed. If the case of the latter, all thoughts of getting off becomes just that – thoughts. It is because they will find themselves heavily stoned and lost in their own thoughts.

The Dutch Haze took the best traits of the original Haze and along with it, also its fragrance. It emits a musky yet sweet smell highlighted by a mix of flowers and pine. It has a pleasant odor that has proven to be a hit among both the recreational and medical marijuana users, time and again.

Not to be outdone, the strain also proved to be a delightful treat to the palate. As users inhale the smooth smoke, its scent can be detected. It is also accompanied by a citrusy aftertaste.

    Adverse Reaction

Although not many users have reported its adverse effects, some are correctly assumed to be true. For instance, like any cannabis, using Dutch Haze may cause users to feel their eyes and throat drying. Both are common and does not pose any danger. At worse, it is a nuisance.

Other possible adverse reactions may be feeling dizzy or having a mild headache. If this happens, then it is likely that users have used too much.

The uplifting effect of this Sativa-dominant strain is more than enough to overwhelm the worries in the minds of users. If stoned, then that takes the mind away from any depressing thoughts. In more ways than one, this is helpful for people undergoing too much stress.

Although it has a small Indica side that does not provide sedative-like properties, the pure intensity of the cerebral high may help take the focus away from any mild pains.

Because it delivers an intense hit, it is also possible that some people may feel a little tired as its effect fades away. Some are probably going to feel sleepy. If this is the comedown effect, then it can be useful for those wanting to get quality rest and sleep.

We do not need to be rich and own a refinery to produce the high-octane Dutch Haze. All that is required is to get high-quality seeds and cultivate it. Fortunately, it grows well in both the outdoor and indoor environment. But it is not an easy strain to grow. As such, it would not be the ideal hybrid to start with for beginners in growing marijuana.

The plant grows up to 4 feet tall, and that comes after carefully topping and pruning. It features long jungle green leaves. When the breeders created this hybrid, they also had indoor gardening in mind. As such, growers now have a choice of using hydroponics or soil as the medium.

Outdoor, like its parent, Dutch Haze loves a sunny climate that is Mediterranean-like. It does require more attention, but at least, it is also resistant to spider mites and molds.

      Flowering Time

In most cases, growers can start the flowering stage after nine weeks. Holding off for another week may help to let the stems and branches grow sturdier, though. Once it starts to produce buds, it will not be long before growers harvest 12 to 14 ounces per square meter.

In an outdoor space such as the garden, the Dutch Haze enters the flowering phase come late October towards the first week of November. Each plant can produce 18 ounces of fluffy buds covered with sticky resins.
