The Space Cakes strain is a seriously spacey combo of Girl Scout Cookies and White Lotus. Bodhi Seeds, the creator of Space Cake weed, selected the best, most balanced offspring of these two for a slightly indica-dominant high. The result is a plant with a sky-high THC level, averaging about 20%. This 65/35 indica-dominant hybrid will make even experienced users see stars.

Effects

Space Cake Strain Effects

With the space cake strain, you won’t be waiting long to launch into the stratosphere. Not long after the first toke, the complete euphoria sends you to the moon and back. A gentle buzz builds between the eyes and slowly twinkles its way through the rest of the body, with peace following in its wake. The head high remains balanced, with relaxation and energy coming in equal measure.

The body high is a perfect complement to the head high. The whole body, all the way to the tips of fingers and toes, feels completely relaxed. You won’t want to go anywhere, but you also won’t be feeling sleepy either. It’s a stellar choice for a long night talking and laughing with friends. Just make sure you have snacks nearby.

Fragrance

Ironically, Space Cake has an earthy scent. Expect herbal, pungent notes with spices and a hint of nuttiness. Burnt buds develop a dank sweet-sour scent that will linger for the rest of the evening.

Flavors

Probably not by coincidence, the flavor is similar to space cakes, a sweet THC-rich edible dessert made out of marijuana. With the strain, look for a nutty, spicy effect with hints of sweet spice. Through the exhale, the pungent scent comes back, herbal and earthy.

Adverse reactions

Space Cake weed can cause dry eyes and cottonmouth, so it is a good idea to keep some water and eyedrops nearby. In general, you should be careful with space cakes in any form. Just because it’s a pleasant smoke doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a kick. Overindulging can lead to mild anxiety or dizziness.

Medical

Space Cake Strain Medical

While there are plenty of recreational reasons to try the Space Cake strain, there are just as many therapeutic ones. Depression and anxiety are easily handled as euphoric feelings don’t leave much room for worries or fears. Others who suffer from PTSD, OCD, and ADHD can depend on Space Cakes to hit the mute button.

Meanwhile, physical symptoms of stress fade away, while tension, aches, and pains succumb to intense body relaxation. Space Cake weed is also useful for migraines, and tension headaches, inflammatory pain, and insomnia.

Growing

Growing the Space Cake Strain

There isn’t much stress when it comes to growing, either. In fact. growers report that Space Cake is generally a dream to grow. It’s responsive to nutrients, soaks up light, and it doesn’t take ages to reach harvest. As long as you avoid some of the most common mistakes, the harvest will be out of this world.

The best environment for this strain is a greenhouse, no question. It’s the right combination of sunny and warm with room to expand. Plants are branching and reach about five feet, so a lot of floor space will help maximize the yield. Indoor growing can work as well, as long as there is plenty of light. Screen of Green growing and trellising are great for maximizing the light levels on the plant. The more light at each bud site, the bigger the buds can grow.

Watch out for bugs with this strain. Growing inside and in greenhouses helps keep pests away for your plants. If you need to use a pesticide, lean towards options like neem oil that are non-toxic to humans. That will let you use the pesticide all the way until harvest.

Flowering Time

Indoor

Growing indoors is a safe bet with Space Cake weed. Grown in soil, plants are typically ready for harvest in about nine weeks. Look for 10-12 ounces per square meter when grown under grow lights.

Outdoor

Northern hemisphere growers tend to harvest at the beginning of October. If bugs are kept away, yields can be impressive for moderately sized plants – look for 14-16 ounces per plant in greenhouses and the outdoors.
