Information about North American Sativa:
North American Sativa is the umbrella term for any Sativa landrace native to the region. Usually, they grow in warmer, more tropical climates. Needless to say, evolution has allowed some varieties to withstand the dipping temperatures of colder places. A prime example of which is the original variant that Alaskan Thunder Fuck descended from.
While each herb is unique in their own way, all of them have shared traits. For one, they are nothing like the cannabis found in equatorial regions of Asia. Instead of having fruit-tasting terpenes, most variants exhibit woody, earthy, and, sometimes, chemical-like flavors. However, this difference is mostly due to its new terrain, climate, and location.
On another note, North American Sativas induce a mentally-focused buzz regardless of whether one smokes or vapes the bud. For this reason, its uplifting yet clearheaded high is great as a wake-and-bake strain. Although, it can also be used as a party herb for its euphoric effects.

What is nice about landraces is that they are very versatile. Their modest amounts of THC, usually ranging from or going beyond 10%, allow both beginners and experienced users to enjoy the bud. After all, strains still do pack a punch when used well within one’s limits.
North American Sativas’ initial onset begins with a euphoric rush to the mind. Gushing with positivity, many find the self-confidence to share their stories and make friends. Although, some may get a little too chatty. Regardless, the bud makes for a great conversation starter and may even promote camaraderie among peers.
For casual users, the clearheaded high and non-sedating body buzz is ideal for a long day at work. It encourages the free-flow of thoughts and provides a clear pathway for it to form innovative solutions. And, together with the rush of energy, users have no problem tackling profound ideas, problems, and projects for prolonged periods of time.
Unlike the fruity profile of similar landraces, North American Sativas have a woody fragrance reminiscent of refreshing pine. Broken apart, its scent is largely marked by freshly picked herbs.
Indigenous Sativas are known for their tropical and zesty flavors. However, the North American varieties are completely different. Drawn in, a chemical overtone with hints of nut and herbs washes over the mouth. On the exhale, the woody aftertaste of pine lingers in the palate.
Marijuana use usually comes with dehydration. This is not surprising as certain cannabinoids do interfere with the production of moisture in the tear ducts and the salivary glands. Most likely user will end up with red eyes and a cottonmouth. Though the dry spell is barely noticeable, some beginners may find it a little uncomfortable. However, downing a glass or two of water before and after the pot session can significantly reduce the dryness.
Because of their pure genetics, North American Sativas can be quite a handful. For one, toking too much in a short amount of time can cause either a mild headache or momentary dizziness. In excess, it can trigger anxiety – especially people currently experiencing emotional turmoil. In such cases, it is best to either pace and moderate consumption or not smoke at all.
North American Sativas carry immense therapeutic value. They are great at appeasing many mental and physical ailments that afflict majority of its users. For one, its uplifting high is excellent at temporarily curbing symptoms of depression such as chronic stress, anxiety, and prolonged bouts of pessimism.
The Sativa also has effective analgesic properties. Its energizing buzz loosens tight muscles and combats fatigue. Meanwhile, its soothing high relieves cramps and aches beginning from the temples, including intraocular pressure from behind the eyes.

Like many landraces, North American Sativa is not difficult to grow. Though its stalks stretch out, they are neither thin nor weak. In fact, it can even withstand diseases brought about by heat, humidity, and pests. As such, aspiring growers may choose to grow the indigenous plant outdoors without worry.
Needless to say, growers who prefer indoor cultivation may still do so. Although, one will have to keep apply various techniques like early topping or bending to keep the plant short. Being a pure Sativa, its height can get out of hand. If space is truly limited, one may also opt to shorten the vegetative stage.
Trichome-coated buds from North American Sativas have a monochromatic color scheme. They are green with various shades ranging from mint to a deep forest. Its leaves are stunning too, sporting the five finger-like shape commonly associated with marijuana.
Sativas, including those indigenous to North America, are never for the impatient. They are, however, for growers who know the value of high yields. After a flowering period of 10 to 12 weeks, each square meter will yield more than a dozen ounces of buds.
In their natural habitat, North American Sativas thrive even when conditions are not as prime. Aspiring growers should see flowers by the first week of November, with each plant producing at least 16 ounces of trichome frosted buds.
