The Black Strain

Strains, while delivering highs that are clearly as satisfying as anything could be may also have stories of its origin that are sometimes a blur. It is normal in the cannabis world to have a strain with known parents but unknown breeders. Perhaps the original breeder refuses to be named, or a more plausible reason is that with the way it was passed around, the original creators were simply forgotten. That is not the case with The Black, though.

Sativa/Indica % Indoor Yield Outdoor Yield Flowering Period
10% / 90% 10 to 12 ounces per square meter12 ounces or more per plant 7 – 8 weeks indoors, early October outdoors.

It is amostly Indica strain that is bred by BC Bud Depot. For those who do not know yet, the breeder develops hybrids and makes it available for sale online either through them or a network of dealers. Located in British Columbia, Canada, they have been very active in the cannabis scene for a long time.

Unfortunately, the breeder has not disclosed its genetic lineage. Not that they can be blamed because to do so means that they made it easier for others to copy their work. It means that they could potentially lose income over that.

Indica dominant strains come with more a definitive body high. Even so, different strains would have unique traits. Some, for example, induces deep relaxation but can cause a couch-lock. Others may have sedating properties or may even cause some people to feel lethargic.

As the soothing sensation of this strain spreads, it eliminates tension from the body and causes the muscles to relax. Meanwhile, users often settle down with a gentle head high even as they finally succumb to the incredible body bliss.

The Black is perfect for nighttime use. Though it induces a euphoric buzz, it does not make one hyperactive. Its ability to deliver immense relaxation is great to cap the night off. Soon enough, its users will start to feel drowsy. Thus, helping them to sleep soundly at night.

    The Black Strain Fragrance

The Black emits an aroma that is irresistible to users. It has a pungent fruity scent that is similar to the smell of grape. As the buds are broken, hints of spiciness and earthiness can be distinguished.

    The Black Strain Flavors

This strain tastes fruitier than it smells. A peppery, berry-like flavor touches the palate upon the first toke. During the exhale, the flavor of wood may be tasted with notes of grape that is reminiscent of wine.

    Adverse Reaction

Using cannabis may deliver one of the greatest feelings a person could feel. However, it also comes with unwanted effects. As expected with using marijuana, users may experience dry mouth and eyes.

While these reactions are common in using cannabis, other side effects may still occur. For instance, some people may feel a bit anxious. Sometimes it is because of taking too much or maybe it is because one has a low tolerance with strains. Other adverse effects include paranoia and dizziness.

    Medical

For many users, CBD level is often associated with its medicinal value. In that sense, they are absolutely correct. Unfortunately, there is no information on how much CBD it has. It is safe to assume though that it should be average. It does come with a high amount of THC. Often associated with psychoactive properties, it is also precisely because of this that The Black has value among medical users.

While it only has some 10% Sativa genetics, The Black can swing the mood. As such, its euphoric buzz in addition to the soothing sensation all over the body can quickly melt away stress. It turns a bad day into one that is tolerable.

Aside from that, it is also quite useful in reducing or eliminating physical discomforts. For instance, people suffering from chronic pain, muscle spasms, and nausea should find comfort in its use.

Naturally, feeling extremely relaxed, most people end up sleeping. Insomniacs should find it an incredibly useful nighttime companion.

      Growing The Black Strain

Just like other strains, growing The Black needs tender love and care. Its breeders did not disclose much about how this hybrid is supposed to be planted. The good thing, however, is that it may thrive well in both an indoor and outdoor setting with the use of hydroponics or even soil. Another thing is that, just like other Indica strains, it grows short, bushy, and has a quick flowering period.

      Flowering Time

      Indoors

When grown indoors, flowering can be triggered in around 7 to 8 weeks. There is also less chances of any pest infestation. Come harvest, every square meter of this plant should have a yield of around 10 ounces or more.

      Outdoors

If one has the luxury to grow this strain outdoors, it has to be in an area with a warm and sunny climate. It is also important to note that its pungent smell may attract unwanted attention. Harvest is ready by early October with each plant having a yield of at least 12 ounces.
