Lime Skunk Strain

Lime Skunk is one of the most exciting strains to come out. First, it is a balanced hybrid that leans towards Sativa. Hence, it delivers an intense yet motivating mental high. Second, there are two kinds of this strain out in the market.

Before continuing, let’s take a look at its genetic lineage.

DNA Genetics use two strains from the family of Skunk that has the distinct lemon scents – Lemon Skunk. As one can imagine, the contrasting lemony and skunky odor blends are both unique and desirable at the same time. Even better, it delivers a buzzing euphoric high.

Green Ribbon, on the other hand, was bred by Exotic Genetix. What it does really well is in delivering an energizing buzz.

In combining these two strains into one plant, the original breeder of Lime Skunk has taken the best of both strains.

But there is another variant of this strain that goes by the same name. This one is different in that it used Super Skunk and Northern Lights No. 5 to create a hybrid that caters to the medical cannabis community.

Both are really great strains, but for this article, we are focusing on the one that originated from Lemon Skunk x Green Ribbon.

From what we can tell, Lime Skunk should be well suited for growing in a warm environment that is similar to that of the Mediterranean. It is not likely to grow taller than 6 feet.

Indoor, growers will want to top it early to keep it short. For that reason, some previous experience in cultivating will come in handy.

At this time, seeds do not seem to be available. Hence, it is clone-only.

      Flowering Time

We estimate that Lime Skunk is likely to have a flowering time that starts as early as seven weeks. Adding one or two more weeks may also be a good idea to let it grow sturdier. Each square meter of this plant will produce around 12 to 14 ounces.

Lime Skunk should transition to the bloom stage between September to October. Each plant is also expected to have a yield of at least 14 ounces.
