    Effects

Due to the high presence of CBD, The Ox’s psychoactive compounds are reduced to some degree. For instance, rather than locking users to the couch instantly, it starts with a euphoric head high that gradually uplifts the mood. It remains a slow-starter though with effects that do not start until after 15 minutes have passed. Hence, moderation should still be practiced.

As alluded to earlier, it has an uplifting onset that improves dispositions. It brings back cheerful memories that bring a smile to one’s face. As it rushes through the mind, users turn talkative and giggly. Because of this, it remains an impressive recreational strain that users can consume with friends for a fun time.

As the high progresses, however, a light pressure develops around the temples. It trickles down to the toes, soothing each limb and planting a heaviness as well. In all likelihood, one will feel more relaxed while completing tasks.

Using the strain in moderation makes it a great wake and bake companion. However, increasing the dosage turns it into the perfect nighttime treat that releases stress.

    Fragrance

The Ox smells almost exactly coffee but with hints of fruit like berries. There are undertones of cocoa especially after crushing the buds. But, after combustion, it turns spicy like hash.

    Flavors

Similar to its fragrance, The Ox has an invigorating caffeinated scent that enlivens the senses like real coffee. It has a tinge of berry which sweetens its dark chocolate undertone. On the exhale, it leaves a spicy aftertaste on the exhale.

    Adverse reactions

A cottonmouth is typical with The Ox as cannabinoids interfere with saliva production in the mouth. At times, it is accompanied by dry eyes however both are mild. A more concerning side effect is paranoia which results from overusing the strain. Thus, it is essential for users to use the strain in moderation.

High CBD levels have pronounced anti-inflammatory effects. Thus, it should come as no surprise that The Ox has the ability to reduce redness and swelling in inflamed areas. Through the same mechanism, it also stops contractions in the muscles which can cause users certain aches and pains. Its deeply relaxing effects eventually lull users to sleep. Growing

The Ox, contrary to what its name may suggest, is not an intimidating strain with a towering height. Instead, it is relatively short with a thick frame that contributes to its sturdy structure. Because of this, it has a good resistance to a wide array of conditions and fairs well in the cooler temperatures of the northern hemisphere.

However, it will still need to be protected against heavy rains and snow which can either stunt its growth or kill the plant overnight. Growers may protect it by installing a temporary enclosing around the growing area or, if it is in pots, then move it can be moved indoors.

A controllable environment allows growers to control lighting, humidity, and temperature. For better air circulation, growers can install a proficient ventilation system that is perfect for the size of the growing room. Thinning out some of the dense foliage is also recommended.

It works best with the Sea of Green method. Growers can take advantage of its compact structure in small spaces by planting at least four seeds in a single square meter. This will improve bud production, resulting in higher turnout. Pairing it with a hydroponics medium will also double yields because it delivers nutrients to the roots directly. However, beginners should stick to soil as it is easier and cheaper. It also develops the terpene profile for more delicious buds.

Gradually introducing lower temperatures as it hits the flowering period will bring out its beautiful purple hue. The bud fully matures once its trichomes turn into a milky coat and its bright pistils turn into burnt orange.
