When we first across the word ‘querkle’, we did not know what to make of it. Is it even a word or a play at some words? Cannabis strains are often named after its parents, but in the case of Querkle, that does not seem to be true.

A quick search on the definition of this word reveals that it has something to do with hyping one’s self and unleashing raw power on someone. In other words, this word reminded us of pure aggression.

And so, with that, we have to think about why the strain we have here was named Querkle. Does it mean that if we were to use this strain, we might go berserk and start killing anyone on sight?

As it turns out, that is absolutely not true. But what this 80% Indica-dominant hybrid strain could do, is that it unleashing its own raw power and aggression on your body, which drives away the things that stress you and leave you in a state of relaxation and happiness. Once you get your hands on Querkle, even if it’s Sativa side is a minority, do not underestimate the incredible cerebral high it gives you.

As explained, TGA Subcool Seeds wanted to create a new strain that has a more pronounced grape flavor of Purple Urkle. At the same time, they wanted it to have a heavy-hitting experience. To have the desired effect, they used Space Queen, a strain that could take you to a long journey in space, void of noises and chaos.

Querkle unleashes its aggression on your body with its sedative properties that leaves you relaxed, perhaps too much. In other words, it makes you feel lazy and if you happen to use a little bit too much, it’s probably going to leave you in a couch-lock.

Combine that with the mental high of its Sativa side, Querkle uplifts your mood making you feel happy, and at times, even euphoric. Once its effects begin to wane, you are likely to feel tired and sleepy, which makes this strain ideal for use at the end of a stressful day.

As was intended, TGA Subcool Seeds did create a strain that has a strong odor dominated by the sweet and fruity smell of blueberry and grape. What makes this strain special with regards to its aroma is that no matter how hard you imagine the smell would be like, it’s nothing compared to smelling it with your own nose.

Not only has Querkle proven to be a delight to your sense of smell, it also satisfies your quest for a strain that tastes as good as it smells. As to be expected, this hybrid strain tastes like how it smells with a hint of citrus in the blend.

Adverse Reaction

Most cannabis strains cause the user to feel dry in the mouth and Querkle is no different. But it is more likely to cause dry eyes than it is with the mouth. Other reactions, if overusing, include a headache, dizziness, or a slightly elevated level of anxiousness. Staying hydrated by drinking lots of water, as well as having the discipline to consume amounts within the limits of one’s personal tolerance level minimizes any negative reactions.

Anytime a strain could give you a physical body high, it is bound to take away the stress. At the same time, medical cannabis users should find it effective in the relief of chronic pains and aches.

Aside from helping in the management of anxiety disorders including depression, Querkle could also aid in inducing drowsiness so that insomniacs could fall asleep.

Are you excited about growing Querkle on your own? You would be delighted to know that this strain grows well in both outdoor and indoor, including a greenhouse. It prefers a warm environment so if you live in a place with such climate, then you should be able to grow this cannabis plant successfully.

Regardless of the kind of climate you have, Querkle is also suitable for cultivation indoor using soil or hydroponics. Are you too excited that your patience is tested to the limits? You’d be glad to know that this cannabis plant is highly adaptable to the Sea of Green (SOG) method of growing to shorten the flowering time.

Querkle is a relatively easy plant to grow. Some of the things you want to do are to trim its leaves to allow light to reach into the deeper parts of the plant.

Flowering Time

Growing Querkle indoor and if you do use the SOG method, then you could expect flowering time to begin in 8 weeks. Once it is ready for harvest, you could expect a yield of 12 to 16 ounces per square meter.

Although many growers could have grown their cannabis outdoor, it is the pungent odor that stops them from doing so. Querkle does have a sweet and fruity smell of grape so it is unlikely that nosy neighbors would know what you are up to. Plan to grow this cannabis so that you could harvest by late October. The estimated size of yield should be around 16 ounces or more per plant.
