G13 Strain

What this legend of a strain lacks in clear heritage, it makes up for with its definite and much-appreciated abilities.

This particular strain is quite possibly one of the most mysterious hybrids out there.

Legend has it, that in the 1960’s, the CIA, FBI and other government agencies, joined forces and decided to create the most engineered super-strain possible, resulting in this gem of a hybrid.

G13 was consequently, as the stories indicate, released by an anonymous lab technician, and then became available to the masses.

This hybrid was reportedly created out of a mid of the best super-hybrids of that era, in a top-secret lab at the University of Mississippi, but was merely one of the rumored many.

That said, there isn’t actual evidence to support this theory, but it does make for a great story.

And also, really the only story that may hint on the actual parentage of this undisputed super-hybrid.

  1. Anyone out there growing and topping G13??? I know it’s an auto flowering strain and I don’t want to end up dwarfing it if I use the Mainlining Technic.. any Input would be a big help on this stain.

    • Peter,

Topping is a matter of personal choice and grow experience, as well as techniques and method of growing. This is your choice based on how you want to grow. Sometimes and most of my career I never top.

  2. Just started growing from a rogue seed I found in an oz. I g-13 I picked up from my local supplier. The high this bud gave me was just about perfect. (relaxing with no couch lock, goes great in social environments too) I’m Interested in seeing how this experiment of mine turns out, hopeful it’s a female plant. I’m about 2 weeks into the vegetative stage, and it’s already growing pretty tall. I’m growing on my patio in Florida, so it’s probably a bit more humid that what may be ideal for this strain. If it turns out to be a male, I’ll probably purchase some feminized seeds because this has been a fun experience thus far.

    • Woodrow,

I am sorry my friend but, I would contribute that possibly, to grower error. All plants have different tendencies, and some require a little different treatment. It is not a tendency of quality genetics to wilt.

I recommend you join our support forum. We are always willing to help growers with plant issues.

      Happy growing 🙂 – I❤️GM
