Gorilla Glue #4 Strain

A notoriously sticky strain, Gorilla Glue strain #4 got its name from the fact that growers has a hard time trimming its buds, with the high resin content leading their scissors to stick together.

Thus, this heavy-hitter of a strain was born.

Gorilla Glue #4 is said to be sativa-dominant, although it is in fact more accurately an exact hybrid of both sativa and indica properties.

    Fragrance

Indulgent in its unique fragrance, you can smell that Gorilla Glue #4 means business like no other. It has a woody, pine-like aroma to it that borders on a hint of fresh sandalwood. What breaks up its pungent, mossy scent is that of a certain dark sweetness, much like berries and fresh wild cherries.

    Flavors

Gorilla Glue #4 tastes much the way it smells. Its flavors are all about a dark woody aftertaste, mixed with a hint of earthy pine. It also has a hint of coffee and chocolate in it, breaking up the dark spicy accents with a hint of the fragrant sweetness. Sometimes, it can leave a slightly chemical aftertaste in your mouth due to its potency and high THC levels.

    Adverse reactions

Quoted as causing a case of “head fry” in inexperienced smokers, Gorilla Glue can give you something to be paranoid about if you come unprepared. The body stone can be intense, which can cause mild cases of anxiety and nervousness in some. A prevalent headache might be present as an effect of the intense head high.

As is usual with many potent strains, one of the most strongly observed side effects caused by this Gorilla Glue #4 is a case of dry mouth and also dry eyes. This is because it can leave you feeling severely dehydrated, which can quickly be remedied by consuming a copious amount of liquids.

Another reason why it is a favorite of many, is because of Gorilla Glue #4’s ability to soothe so many ailments. Its potency guarantees for a solid pain relief that could be caused by many potentially complicated diseases such as muscle spasms, gum disease, chronic back pains and many others.

Gorilla Glue #4 is also a powerful stress-reliever and is therefore widely used in the treatment of depression and anxiety. It is helpful for those who seek a little help to initiate a restful night of sleep, and has therefore been successfully prescribed to combat disruptive bouts of insomnia.

Gorilla Glue #4 yields quite generously, which makes it a win-win strain to grow, because it is also known for its absolute ease.

        3. My Gorilla Glue Autoflowers are 8 weeks old and far from finished no way they will be ready to cut in 12 weeks as advised. I am growing indoors in a 32/32/60″ Tent with a 600 W LED LIGHT. My last grow I used Photos took 5 months I got 1 once of heathy Buds and about 60 grams for Cannabutter.Ranman.

        4. Why viewers still use to read news papers when in this technological
globe everything is existing on net?

        5. High Everyone,
First time grower long time toker. I transplanted my Gorilla Glue Auto plant outside when it was 4 weeks old. I did top it twice before the move. Then did some LST after I transplanted it outside at week 5 and 6. It is doing well, nice buds. The pistils are 90% clear, trichomes are clear. Now after the 12th week it started revegging. The temperature did get into the hi 80’s and that might be why it started? It has me puzzled. Should I let it go/grow or what? Any help would be appreciated. Wisconsin Chezhead 🙂

        6. Purchased 10 seeds. They all cracked open in 1 day by soaking in a glass of water. I put them outside and they are 6 weeks old and growing like crazy. Very Bitchin. Thank you ILGM

        10. I bought 10 gorilla glue autoflowering and a 30 pack of other assorted auto flowers . I’ve lost 5 gorilla glue seeds that decided not to germinate . I had no problems with northern lights, amnesia and blueberry. Very disappointed!

        11. been smoking this amazing plant for 40 years. GG4 is my favorite, I grow different stains and they’re all good. ILGM’s GDP is a close second. but GG4 keeps rising to the top. I grew some outdoor that turned out great last summer. and just trimed a couple indoor plants with next level trichomes. ILGM’s genetics are excellent

        12. Your Gorilla Glue # 4 feminized seeds, is this the s1 strain? any relation to the original clone, gorilla glue #4 from josey whales?

        13. Temps? Maybe lights too close, high heat and light may be the cause brother they produce the sticky goodness in lights off, see if there is a difference between morning and lights off for your girls perhaps? Best of luck man

        14. Got a gg4 in week 4 of flower. Trichomes are crazy and stacking nicely. Best looking plant I’m growing right now and no issues.

        15. I am currently growing GG from seeds that I got from your site. My question is I am at week 9 and I have 10% brown pistols and 30% cloudy tri.
AM I doing something wrong or do I just have late bloomers

        16. GG#4 is my favorite, so far. I got 26 ounces of cured dried bud from one plant grown organically outdoors here in Michigan. The plant was a 7′ tall bush that looked gray from all the THC frost. Crippling buzz. This year’s has reached 7′ the first week in July, super-stretched, topped and, here’s the kicker, has begun to spike/flower like a month early! Seeds came from a plant two years old and not an auto.

        17. I started growing GG#4 in tent dwc, got to big and i took it outside in organic soil. now the large colas are getting heavy i tied them up best i could, but is it too late to do a scrog? never done it before

        18. Okay I’m growing 2 GG4 plants as of today they are 6 weeks and 4 days I only use bloom boost it’s organic and I see no buds the plants are looking and smelling good but there is no buds idk if I did something wrong I keep them indoors under light fan right temp just seeing what am I doing wrong

        19. bought this strain from ilgm at 9 weeks just starting to flower with 300 wt led from go grow.is this normal

        20. bought 10 auto gorilla glue.6 weeks and still no flowering.first time this has happen.why

        21. My gg is in week 8 of flower and looks amazing.lots of trics ,the problem is its not sticky. Very dry to touch. Anyone know whats goin on?

        22. I have a mammoth gorilla glue #4 up here in Canada right now , 50%hairs are brown ish it’s amazing.. so sticky, I figure I got maybe a week or two left before she comes down .
7 foot tall I started it around Christmas time , topped several times 16+ main colas . . I cant wait !

        23. Yeah I ordered five little glue number 4 from you guys kept two and one came out with pink hairs in the other one kind of small but love it overall

        24. I bought GG#4 seeds from a Colo Resident in breeder Pack a SACRED ORIGIN SEED product, in decades of growing my seed pop average is 90+% I got 2-10 and one was a freekin MALE !

        25. Absolutely a fantastic strain. I’m a welder and as such a profession is so demanding on the body, one is thankful in remembering that sticky, dark-green sack of nugs just waiting within my truck to ease away the pains of a hard-worked day.

        26. Cynthia,

This is not the place to complain about your seeds my friend. You need to go to support.ilovegrowingmarijuana.com and start a topic in the “customer service” area of the forum. We have staff that are dedicated to seed issues and we offer a guarantee. As far as the nutrients. There is a feeding chart that is downloadable or you can save the “link” (uel), for future reference. For the most part I calculated the grams per feeding to be as follows: Start 1/2 tsp.; Grow 1/2 tsp.; Bloom 3/4 tsp.; Boost 1-2 1/4 tsp. The Boost is to be used with the Bloom, not alone. Use Boost 3-4 weeks before intended harvest for 2 weeks. Go back to just bloom and then flush for a week or 2 (adding just water PH’d at 6.5 for soil). See you in the forums.

        27. GA,

You won’t be able to finish a crop outdoors in Michigan planting now. You would not be able to finish before December at the earliest. GG probably takes 4-5 months from seed to harvest, Sorry 🙂

        28. I recently bought a combo of nutrients and BIG seeds. There were no instructions for the nutrients; had to go on line to find info.I am not sure how to make the measurements, I am not schooled in grams That was inconvenient, but doable. The BIG seeds have not sprouted and I have reseeded 6 to replace the nonsprouting seeds. They were started at the same time as several Agent Orange that are sprouted and coming up just fine. This is my first not so happy customer complaint. I have never had more than an occasional ‘dud’ seed…6 is a bit much.

        29. Hey, I live near Grand Rapids Michigan & was wondering if I order GG#4 now and get it planted OUTSIDE in pots, how long before I will have a crop ?? thanks

        30. I’ve been growing off an on 4…45 years. I’ve found that with any strain of weed….least we 4 get. Let the plant Du what it has done since the beginning…grow. Help if U see a problem. Otherwise live an let the weed grow. Peace

        31. Only problem i have if you could call it a problem is the stems bend almost break from weight of buds ..so be prepared to tie these ladies up

        32. I have been growing the GG#4 strain, indoors, for several years now, and I have to say its my all time favorite !
I get good yeild, and it just blows me away every time I burn some !
          I highly recommend it !

        33. I’ve grown this outdoor for the last few years, and the reaction is always the same.. “Man wtf is that? Seriously the best weed I’ve ever smoked.” Considering some of the best grass in the country comes out of where I live, that’s a serious compliment. I have grown indoors as well but I’ve found personally that it always ends up more potent outdoor for some reason. I’d recommend anyone try this strain. Simple grow, insanely potent and serious yeild.. you can’t go wrong.

        34. We are growing GG#4 right now also. This will be our second indoor grow. Yes it does clog your scissors and is amazing to look at.

        35. […] Gorilla Glue #4. This 2014 award-winning hybrid is such a potent strain that consumers look far and wide for it. Known also as GG strain, it has a pungent and sour earthy aroma that delivers intense euphoria and relaxation. […]

        36. We are growing this strain outdoors this season. GG#4 is a dream to grow. Lush, healthy plants with nice fat colas! Have had no issues at all with these girls. Will definitely be growing this again!

        37. I’m into my 3rd grow of gg#4 I’ve done a just straight tree grow, a scrog grow, I’m now 5 weeks into flower doing LST and lollipoping. All 3 where awesome but looks like LST with lollipoping is the way to grow this strain. The colas are to die for. And even the steams are coated with sticky tri-cones the herb butter made from this trim is by far the strongest I’ve ever seen. The buzz whether eaten or smoked is hard hitting and long lasting. For me it’s the best strain I’ve come accross. 2 thumbs up and a big toe!

        38. Just got some GG#4 cuttings, got them rooted and now they are growing outside. Once my current crop is harvested, i will bring at least two of them inside and see how the indoor/outdoor come out.. Plus I want some cuttings and dont want to wait until outdoor bloom time around august

        39. Hi… my name is Jennifer, I’m also trying to nurture gorilla-#1 from seeds as well lol, for the same reasons as you. To see if I could lol. I don’t know even what the stages of the plants are. I would really like to ask you questions. If you have time…

        40. I’m growing gorilla glue#4 right now. My cousin got a few clones last year from a dispensary in Sacramento and I found a couple seeds and decided to grow it indoors. I’m about 2 weeks from harvest and it’s so sticky and smells so good, mmm. It was actually an experiment of mine, I’ve never grown indoors and I’ve only grown 4 other times before this outdoors. I wanted to grow something just to see how I would do indoors because everyone thought my outdoor WAS indoor. So I picked a few seeds and off I went, let me just say that I haven’t had any issues once so ever. No bugs, disease, nothing but just enjoying watching her grow up. I have a couple clones and as soon as I harvest and wipe down everything I’m putting a few into S.c.r.o.g, and seeing the results the second time around though I have to be honest I don’t think the quality could get much better. It’s nice and dense, hecka sticky, and smells so good, pretty proud of my first indoor run just have to ripen for a week and flush for a week and it’s all done except for drying, curing and the best part smoking lol.

        42. Hi Sean, we’re always looking for new strains to add to the assortment. Maybe we’ll find GG4 soon but there’s no e.t.a. unfortunately.
