In the world of cannabis and strains, Grapefruit is one of those strains that does exactly that, bring you to a cerebral high that makes you feel good and happy, and some even describe as an exhilarating feeling. Used in moderation, Grapefruit can be likened to why some people drink coffee, and that is to stay alert and add in the energy boost it gives, it makes the things you need to do daily more tolerable and manageable.
You should know too that the energy and creativity may only be temporary. The same effect in calming you down and reducing stress is also due to a sedative-like quality that helps you relax.
Grapefruit packs a punch, So, smoke too much and that is going to wipe you out and leave you in dreamland.
Grapefruit is popular because it has that sweet and sour blend of mostly grapefruit with a hint of citrus.
Not only does this strain smell good, it also has a great flavor that has made this a classic strain. Although dominated by the taste of grapefruit, the underlying aftertaste of citrus remains.
So, there is no such thing as being too good. One of the adverse reactions of using Grapefruit is leaving one with dry mouth. Once again, the importance of using in moderation is advised. Arming yourself to the teeth with water is recommended. Other adverse reactions may include dry eyes and dizziness.
For most people who have symptoms of the adverse reactions, it seems most is because of smoking too much.
Because of its sedative-like quality that helps in body and mind relaxation, Grapefruit is one of the top choices of hybrid strains for reducing stress. As is the case with any stress-reducing cannabis, consumers also use this to help in the battle against depression, as well as some forms of insomnia.
Keep in mind, though, that all stress, anxiety, and depression have a cause. Unless the root cause of the stressor is not addressed, then it will keep coming back.
Another use of Grapefruit is to help deal with pains like mild headaches and migraines. It can also be used to help relieve the symptoms of mild chronic pains.
For women, Grapefruit may help in dealing with the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome. Come to think of it. If the reason for using this cannabis is to deal with PMS, then the intense euphoric feeling of using this strain may become the reason why women would look forward to their monthly thing.
Also, like coffee, Grapefruit gives a temporary energy boost when used in moderation.

Grapefruit can be grown indoors, outdoors and in greenhouses. It grows best in a humid environment that is similar to the tropical Mediterranean climates. It smells good and has a great flavor, and it also looks good with thick orange hairs covering its lime green buds. But it doesn’t grow tall. At only 3 feet, it does still give a modest yield.
Grapefruit can be grown using the Sea of Green (SOG) method that may reduce the average flowering time of 60 to 70 days. This strain needs a good ventilation to grow best with 50% humidity level and an average temperature of 27 degrees Celsius. Although short, it still yields 14 oz/m2 indoors.
Grown outdoors in a temperate climate, Grapefruit can yield an estimated 25 to 35oz/plant. It is usually harvested in late September to early October.
