As the number of cannabis users increased, so did the demands for higher quality and more tasty strains.
While it is not entirely an assurance that a particular strain has all the qualities that a user is looking for, a large number of choices that breeders provide in the market is perhaps the next best thing.
It is not a secret that cannabis can be used for both recreational and medicinal purposes.
Regardless of the intention of a consumer, the consensus almost always goes down to the strain’s flavor and aroma.
Typically, those strains that are supposedly boasting of delightful scents and flavors are those that are named after these unique characteristics.
However, not every one of them actually lives up to their names.
Nonetheless, one particular strain has been recognized by the cannabis community as one of the few out there that has the flavor and aroma that stays true to its name. This hybrid strain is called the Tangerine Haze.
The History of Tangerine Haze can be traced back from its supposed origin in the Netherlands.
While others are not quite certain where specifically in the country, some would claim that it was in Amsterdam where the strain was first developed.
Nonetheless, the story leads to the North American breeder, the Devil’s Harvest Krew.
They are believed to be the ones who have discovered the strain around 2003 to 2004 and bred the Tangerine Haze that users know today. Unfortunately, it is still a clone-only strain.

With THC levels that reach up to 21%, one can easily determine the potency of Tangerine Haze. Because Tangerine Haze is Sativa-dominant, it does have a powerful cerebral head high, especially at the onset.
To wit, Tangerine Haze can make its users feel happy and uplifted more than anything else. It also stimulates the mind just enough to improve the sense of focus and creativity. But that is assuming consumers do not smoke too much.
The general happiness that consumers feel, as well as a boost in energy level, makes the Tangerine Haze great for recreational use with friends. In some instances, some people could work better after taking a few puffs.
As mentioned previously, Tangerine Haze is one of the few strains that is able to live up to its name. That being said, users can expect this strain to have that zesty tangerine scent that can be further described as a combination of citrus, pungent and sweet aroma.
Indeed, Tangerine Haze also boasts of the same citrus, sweet and tangy flavors of the actual tangerine. Some users even think of its taste as something that reminds them of oranges and tropical fruits.
Now, if that is not delicious enough, note that the smoke of Tangerine Haze is just as pleasant as its actual aroma and flavor. Users describe its smoke as smooth and generally makes them feel good inside.
Despite all the positive reviews that Tangerine Haze has received over the years, it goes without saying that there are adverse reactions from smoking this cannabis.
Besides dry mouth, a common reaction with the use of cannabis, the other negative reactions to are dizziness and feeling anxious. Should that occur, it is likely because the smoker is new to using cannabis.
Aside from being a tasty and fragrant strain, Tangerine Haze has the potential to offer alleviation from the symptoms of some health conditions.
Stress relief is among the top reasons for the recreational, as well as the medical use of this strain. Due to feeling uplifted and happy, that aids in the management of depression and possibly, other anxiety disorders.
Used in moderation, Tangerine Haze gives a boost in energy that is similar to drinking espresso.

Unfortunately, growing Tangerine Haze at home may be quite a challenge. It requires some level of knowledge and experience on how to properly grow cannabis in order to successfully cultivate it.
It can be grown indoor or outdoor in a Mediterranean climate. While location matters outdoor, that is not a concern if Tangerine Haze is grown indoor with a proper setup. Indoor, this cannabis can be grown using soil or hydroponics.
Note that growing indoor, it is best to top early and let the plant branch out and grow bushier, which improves the yield. But that also means growers would have to support the branches as the heavy buds could be too much for the branches and stems.
If grown indoors, the flowering time of Tangerine Haze should take about 8 to 9 weeks. Make sure to harvest them on time in order to maximize those flavors. Otherwise, late harvest diminishes the distinct tangerine taste of the strain. As for the expected indoor yield, it should be around 18 to 23 ounces per square meter.
So as long as the plant grows in an ideal climate, the buds should be ready for harvest by mid to late October. This will produce a yield of 24 ounces or more per plant.
